If you haven't yet seen the movie Perfume, I highly reccomend it. It is rich with symbology and a wonderful relief from the mundane.
It takes one into the primordial drive and in the midst of the movie there is a wonderful scene where he is deep into the transformational process (he cannot smell himself and looses touch with all he knows) he looses all identity, and then his ego "in service" to the Self, and the Soul Pattern guides him back to bring the journey to it's destined fullness. It is wonderful and rich with much much more.
The Sacrifical Love Pattern is so beautifully exemplified, and the Garden of Eden scene where he first experinces Eros which falls upon a near crucifixion scene..on and on it goes with amazing transformational awakenings. The alchemical dynamics are fascinating and still working me.
GEt it watch it...let it DO YOU!!!!

I went to look for the movie and May I ask where you found it as when I checked on it out here there was nothing on their computer system that showed this movie title even existed thanks, VL

We rented it from the local Blockbuster -- It IS a many-faceted movie.

The movie "Perfume"was utterly spellbinding for me. There was so much deepness and richness in so many aspects, that I will probably watch it again as there were parts I did not completely understand or got it after the fact. It is certainly a 5 Star.
By the way there are two movies with the same title Perfume, so if in doubt which one. It is the movie with Dustin Hoffman. Thanks, VL

It is a fabulous teaching movie...I believe that was said by another teacher also...and it is so.

I just ordered the movie to own and want to do more in depth work with it. It has so many aspects and archtypes to follow.
I was/am so appreciative of how they portrayed the loss of all identity and the re-creation of Self with the ego in service...I want to see that part again. And several other parts.
Which parts were most "spellbinding" for you when you watched it?

I plan to watch the movie again as there were parts that I want to experience again to clealy have more understanding. On my first time of watching it I did not understand, or did not get some parts until after the fact.

I was intiged by his suvivalist and creative methods to discover his truth and at what expense.
For me, my mind said stop watching this and the learning/adventurous aspect of me felt spellbound by the unfolding message.
My story has been I have been unable to watch this type of movie due to the fear, anixety, focusing of thoughts, losing my groundingness, and therefore caught up inappropriately in the story which would arise in me. In the start of 2008, I stepped beyond that story and allowed myself to experience another movie. Since then, in retrospect I can see the shifting of my life puzzle pieces, not just due to the movie, but a slow symbolically shifting pattern.vl
