I thought this was interesting as taken from Norm Shealy's Newsletter. I recall spending over ten yrs in unhappy thoughts due to illusions, beliefs, control about Aging and furthering into the Death Wish!
Anti-aging, youthful Aging, Healthy Aging-- The path to Happy Aging
Many people choose different words and these are what Google came up with

Anti-Aging 24.1 million listings
Youth Aging 14.7 million listings
Healthy aging 12.7 million listings
Positive Aging 11.1 million listings
Happy Aging 1.16 million listings
Graceful Aging 0.2 million listings
I am grateful to my expanded awareness that I now choose to experience
Happy, Graceful, with an addition to include Active in the Be in Peace Paradigm

This poem was in Norman Shealy's email and I found seeds for me and I wanted to share it

Thanatopsis

"So live, that when thy summons comes to join
the innumerable caravan, which moves
To the mysterious realm, where each shall take
His chamber in the silent halls of death,
Thou go not, like the quarry-slave at night
Scourged to his dungeon, but substained and soothed
By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave
Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch
About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams".

Again ,I am ,as always, amused by how we have to give ourselves such labels to keep our psyche at bay in truly integrating the levels of fear of death.

So for clarification because many are not familiar with the "words" associated with this.
If you were in a morbid fear of death...
you were in Thanatophobia.
A very COMMON ailment in our culture, since we have no real relationship to the range of spirituality that embodies death. And exemplified by our "bail-outs", the fear of letting the old structures die, the attempt at keeping our infrastructure, which is ready to die, on life support.

To "view" or engage death meditations would be
Thanatopsis.
Practiced by many Eastern Spiritual disciplines. The one I am most familiar with is a process I engaged consciously this past December...A Hindu practice called: Moksha Rigni. The meditation and deepening into Conscious Deathing. Moksha being a stage in Sanskrit, of aging, 55 or older.
The deepest intention of all consciousness work is in Eastern traditions to come to a state of conscious dying. To eliminate the need to embody again. In the work that I do much of what I discover is a deep anger of incarnating, of coming into manifested life. And the process is to learn to accept life. Then to accept death and recognize the two imposters as the same.

The Greek mythological God of Thanatos is the personification of death. Thanatos is the son of Nyx (night) the twin of Hypnos (sleep). Among other Thanatos siblings were Geras (old age), Oizys (Suffering) and on and on in the Mythological world of the Greeks. It has a history worth exploring.

Frued later used the term when he spoke that, Humans have both a drive to life and a drive to death.

Again an offering to take it a bit deeper, without the need for contemporary "labels" to dilute the impact.

Big Grin

I can't help this, It is compelling:
Google Kathleen

Anti-Aging = Death
Youth Aging = Endless Infantile Power Drives
Healthy aging = recognizing the inevitable
Positive Aging =Non Acceptance of the Commercial images of human processes.
Happy Aging = Developing a sense of Humor And Acceptance of the natural ORGANIC process
Graceful Aging= Being Grateful for the courage to experience this much LIFE!

AT 62, I have never been happier, freer and more aligned with love. I look forward to the beginning of Elderhood!
Yes, with it's inevitable outcome...death!

It was interesting for me to observe myself recently when I watched Loiuse Hay's movie "You can heal your life".
I worked with her materials for many yrs. I lost all my materials related to her as I have had this long behavior of acting as a savorior/hero and loaning my items out and never getting them back. Most interesting "for me to look at now to understand what that was all about". In watching and listening several of my favorite people were in the discussion Greg Braden, Christine Northrupt, and her professional partner who is a medical intutive, and Author Doreen Virtue. Also I had always read Louise Hay Materials and not seen her in screen. She is now 80 yrs old and what a vribant, beautiful, and in the present moment woman.
What I observe in my self currently is I am present and firmly grounded in my being when I look in the mirror, while gazing deeply into my eyes and saying, knowing I'm planted firmly within heart that "I Love you Vonda". I spent many yrs trying to do this and now "know" self is presently and authetically here.
It has felt like such a long journey to intergrate the grief of the child into the present time of standing up straight in my re-designed adult, without all the outward props of physical endowements, and dazzling oranments, I previously believed were so necessary, yet not truly needed in walking the daily path with grace and dignity of a woman/being I am.
