From Richard Geer in Toronto as a birthday poem to a Aquarian friend and colleague, musician and astrologer, Michael Moon whose website
www.thetempleofsound.com contains some juicy goodies. his song, "Deep Peace", is the most passionate peace I've heard, going right down to the belly.

The servants of the Moon
live in another rhythm
and they call another tune

They're dangerous, you know
They left their sanity behind
a very long time ago.

And the traffic jams at sunrise
are on another clock
the beats and measures rule their hips,
their voices, choices
hungry lips
the moving magnet and the tides
the winds from out of nowhere
control their rolling ships.

II.
the lunar watch, they say
runs fast and slow,
depending
on where the belly feels at home
with the pacing of the Muse
or when the spirit needs to roam
as the mind blows a fuse.

III.
The world looks at the lunatics,
their eyebrows rise and jaws go slack

the lunatics look back
in mirror duet

and for once thy're in harmony
onn both sides of the glass
"Say WHAAAAAAT?!"

But that doesn't mean
they don't get along.

Everyone has their own style of crazy
and just because you're not in traffic
doesn't mean you're lazy.

IV.
If Michael means one
who is kinda like God

well the Sun meets his mirror
in the Full Moon

The Sun likes tings even
The Moon likes 'em odd

They sandwich the earth
with gold and silver
spread on each side
like mustard and mayonnaise

and turn the whole planet
into a meal
where even the compost
has sex appeal
and midnight dancing vision
is every bit as real
as enything baking
in the noontime sun.

V.
What if we had a newspaper
called "The Toronto Moon"?

would it sell, if the stories
were all told in verse?
If the headlines were filled
with the people who danced today
and how many folks
had the same dream last night
and who made love
for the first time
or felt like they did?

Is there anything new in the news?
Anything sexy in the pews?

Or is everything worth knowing
written in a language
we forgot when we went to school?

the dream time didn't forget

And somewhere beneath the chest,
neither did we.

the pipes are calling in the wind,
the daydreams waft
outside our plans
dungeons and dragons
keep tickling our behinds

and a voice just out of sight
behind our shoulder
says

"Don't forget to wind
your lunar clock

It wakes you up with melodies
instead of a nasty buzz

It kicks you out of the traffic jam
and lands you in the conga line
where all the planets boogaloo
swirling ancestors welcome you

and the one who is like God
is like you and me
and everyone we know".
---Richard Geer
I always look forward to reading his newest creation each month. Has a way of expanding my boundaries in subtle and delicious ways. Thanks, VLL
