I found this poem in my book a few weeks ago. Lately every time I open the book to read, I just seem to open the book to that page. Taken from Glyphs, Poems and Stories of the Colorado Plateau
Here goes:
I watched the moon blow fragmented across the night and I did nothing.
I let the pieces break and fall where none would place them
back together
I watched its luminious crust splinter
as it fell forever from the sky
Dawn broke this morning
and so did I
