2C whole flax seeds (soaked in 2C water overnight or at least 4 hrs.)
2 cloves garlic minced 1/2 lemon juiced 2T Braggs Liquid Aminos 1 T fresh ginger Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until well combined, and until the garlic and ginger are complete ground. Remove from the processor and place on a teflex sheet on top of a mesh dehydrator screen. Spread batter into a thin sheet about 1/8 inch thick, or less. I like to make these thin and the flax seeds holds the cracker together even if there are holes. Dehydrate at 105 degrees for 10-16 hours. Flip crackers and peel off teflex sheet after about 7 hours. These are great with guacamole or salsa. They are also good with salads and any other cracker need. Health benefits: Flaxseeds provide a rich source of Omega 3 Fatty acids, which are essential and largely missing from the American Diet. It is believed to lower cholesterol, control high blood pressure, in its ground form it is helpful in diverticulitis. The seeds inhibit inflamatory reactions. Is helpful for the joint pain associated with arthritis. And the wonderful little seeds prevent constipation allowing the body to release what it needs to. Wonderful crackers, Bon Appetit! |
