Why is it necessary to use 2000 gallons of fresh water to produce one gallon of cows milk? The animal needs a majority of the fresh water for biological functions and only a fracture of water that is actually used is converted into milk. Drinking of cows milk can increase stagnation, many individuals can experience sinusitis and asthma. For individuals who are lactose intolerant, there are more challenges to manage. When consuming milk, an individual is literally consuming blood and pus from the animial that has been milked, also if it not from a small family organic farm there is artifical hormones in the mix. These hormones have been banned in almost every country in the world, yet remain legal in the United States. Around the world water tables are dropping and creating shortages that are now appearing in the U.S. Can our society afford to continue the support of animial products like beef, cheese, and milk? An alternate option is available. By consuming plants massive amounts of water can be conserved combined with nutritional benefits consumed. Some of these are medicines, phytonutrients, arthocyaines, and enzymes that can provide protection to the nervous system. Animial products contain no such nutrients. For me personally, convential cheese has felt as an addictive process as my hx of smoking. cigarettes. Chia Milk has become a healthy and enjoyable alternative for my daily breakfast drinks. vl This information taken from Natural News Newsletter on 6-2-8

I continue today to look at why I give up my power and focus with eating cheese. When I am at home I go to the health food store to look for raw cheese which Iate in the past. It's to expensive to order in, so I walk away from what is there. When I come visiting to alarger area like at my daughter's I will eat any that's avaliable. My sense it there is some comfort need involved, as when I step out and look at my self to observe i realize it does not even tast yummy. I continue to go inside. vl

So many resources being unconsciously consumed, and that is what keeps the market going. If no one bought the milk, it wouldn't continue to be produced. I agree the Chia Milk or almond milk or really any nut milk is a much wiser and environmentally clear choice. We are still in the minority however. And I think you are right on with the cheese thing, I too find it a difficult one to manage, I stick with raw cheese as much as possible and still...I get a craving for it. It is an addiction, I cannot help wonder if there isn't some additive that is addictive to a part of our chemical make up. Lately I have been eating the Raw Goat Cheese. Still I know I would be better off with NO dairy.
